Art Hive 55: Art Course for Over 55s

Join our over-55s art course and explore the world of creativity as part of our visual art short courses in Sydney!
Art Hive 55 is a welcoming weekly art space designed for people aged 55 and over who are seeking creativity, connection, and community. Rooted in the idea that everyone is an artist, this inclusive and informal course invites participants to enjoy the process of art making in a relaxed, friendly environment. No prior art experience needed. It's perfect for those who may not think they are creative or have never tried art before.
Each session combines gentle structure with plenty of freedom for self-directed exploration. This is not an art class, you will be encouraged to follow your own art-making interests with help along the way
Participants are guided through a simple process: a group welcome, a warm-up creative activity to spark connection, followed by unstructured art making using a range of materials. The session concludes with optional reflection and sharing.
Art Hive 55 is a welcoming space led by a skilled tutor, designed to support wellbeing through creativity, conversation, and connection. The course encourages confidence, sparks new interests, and fosters a sense of belonging through community-based creative practice. A wide range of art materials is provided.
A glimpse into the creative buzz of students making and experimenting in our fun and relaxed studio.
