Stitch a little Christmas magic in this joyful, hands-on sewing workshop. Using your own festive fabrics and trims, you’ll spend most of the session at the sewing machine creating beautiful handmade decorations and reusable fabric wraps that will bring joy year after year.

Whether you want to stitch beautiful ornaments for your tree, craft a decorative garland, or create eco-friendly fabric wraps and bags for gifts, this workshop is a fun and sustainable way to celebrate the season. You’ll be guided step by step as you explore creative ways to use your fabrics, mix trims and textures, and design festive keepsakes that reflect your personal style.

You’ll learn simple machine-sewing techniques, along with some optional hand-finishing details, to make unique decorations you’ll treasure for years to come. Students will complete at least one project in class and leave with patterns, written instructions, and inspiration to keep creating at home.

Course materials

What to bring to class:

• Minimum 1 metre of Christmas fabric
• Thread
• Pins
• Fabric scissors (+ snips if you have them)
• Paper scissors
• Pen/pencil and notebook
• Hand sewing needle

Additional trims and fabrics will be available to purchase from the tutor on the day.
