Course content
What will be covered in this resin river board workshop?
- Important safety precautions for working with resin to ensure a safe workshop
- Hands-on practice mixing pigments and dyes to create custom colours for your resin river board
- Techniques for pouring resin to create rivers, including layering and blending to mimic natural water flow
- Hands-on experience sanding and finishing your boards for a nice finish
- Step-by-step guidance and expert tips from an experienced tutor.
This course is for complete beginners - no previous experience is required.
However, this course is not suitable for pregnant people or anyone under 16 years old.
Course materials
Materials provided
We provide all materials, including:
- Slow setting resin
- Pigments and moulds
- Large timber pieces
- 60cmx30cm moulds
- P2 Respirator mask
- Gloves
What to bring to class
- You may prefer to bring your vapour mask, available from hardware stores. If you feel concerned about the exposure to the resin vapour, please discuss it with your GP before attending the workshop.
- An apron to protect your clothes
- Your ideas and creativity
Additional information
Please note the following:
- The resin needs a full week to dry, therefore please collect your board 1 week after the workshop has concluded.
- Closed shoes required
- Please wear old clothes as you will be sanding your boards
- Long hair must be tied back
- Not suitable for pregnant women
