Course description

Learn to create one-of-a-kind resin art with our resin art short courses in Sydney!

Decorate your walls with a handmade and stunning piece of Resin Art.

Join our creative, fun and hands-on workshop where you will be guided through the entire process of creating a stunning piece of art.

Learn how to create a unique pattern, mix pigments, and how to work pearlescent and other materials into the resin while gaining background information on the medium itself as well as the correct safety procedures that are required when handling resin.

In this workshop, we will work on a round primed art board that will look stunning on your walls. We will provide all materials including a wide range of different pigments so that you can create a piece that reflects your style.

At the end of this course, you will go home with the knowledge and skills you need to create more amazing and unique art pieces for yourself, to give as gifts or even sell in your own business.

Please note that your resin art piece needs to cure for 48 hours and needs to be collected two days after your workshop when it is safe to transport.

Once collected, you will be able to polish off the rough edges at home with the guidance of our tutor’s instruction video which will be sent to you after the completion of your course.

  • Learned from the instruction video how to polish off the rough edges from the comfort of your home

Course content

What will be covered in this resin art course?

  • Introduction to Resin
  • Health and safety
  • Application and suitable surfaces
  • Mixing of different pigments and colour
  • Different painting techniques
  • Embellish your geode art with gold leaf, crystals, crushed glass, colour stones and glitter (if applicable)
  • Sand, polish and finish your piece
  • Tips and tricks

Intended audience

This course is for complete beginners - no previous experience is required.

However, this course is not suitable for pregnant people or anyone under 16 years.

Course materials

Materials provided

We provide all materials, including:

  • Slow setting resin
  • Pigments and moulds
  • Artboard
  • P2 Respirator mask
  • Handouts (digital)

What to bring to class

  • You may prefer to bring your vapour mask, available from hardware stores. If you feel concerned about the exposure to the resin vapour, please discuss it with your GP before attending the workshop.
  • An apron to protect your clothes
  • Your ideas and creativity

Additional information

Please note the following:

  • Resin needs to dry for 48 hours, therefore please collect your artwork after two working days.
  • An instruction video on how to finish off your piece will be sent via email once the workshop is completed.
  • Closed shoes required
  • Please wear old clothes
  • Long hair must be tied back
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
