Learn to create ink art with our painting short courses in Sydney!

Ink art is a popular technique using fast-drying alcohol inks to create abstract art pieces. With a wide range of colours available, you can create vibrant marbled effects, bold washes and ethereal details.

Perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to paint with alcohol ink, this workshop will guide you through a series of structured exercises to introduce you to the basic techniques - including fading, whispy, bubbles and texture.

You will take home your practice pieces and a unique ink painting on a dedicated art canvas, ready to hang on your wall.

  • Use of tools such as brushes, hairdryer, straws, ink pens, heat gun
  • Techniques to achieve different effects
  • Stencil work and decorate your piece
  • Sealing your work including a brief introduction to resin

Additional information

Please note the following:

Important: This workshop is not suitable for pregnant women or anyone under 16 years. You will be using alcohol inks and even with a mask, you will be exposed to the vapour. We provide one disposable P2 vapour mask per student, included in the workshop fee. You may prefer to bring your own vapour mask, available from hardware stores. If you feel concerned, please discuss this with your GP before attending the workshop.
