Learn how to decorate your pottery, then our new pottery Surface Decoration course in Sydney.

If you are tired of just glazing and are looking for ways to add more interest to the surface of your pottery & ceramics items, then this course is for you. No experience is necessary.

In this 3 hour course, you will learn a variety of surface decoration techniques that will elevate your ceramics to new heights. You will learn how to combine and layer various techniques to enhance your work with depth and sophistication.

You will finish decorating 3 pieces that will be bisque fired, clear glazed and glaze fired for you and ready to pick up in 2-3 weeks. All your materials and pottery for you to decorate are included in the course fee.

Feel free to bring a photo of artwork or pattern that inspires you to class and our professional tutor will show you how to achieve your goal.

Parking direction

Please note, there is 2 hours of free street parking on Hayberry street, a 1-minute walk from the studio, available, as well as 2 hours of free parking at Woolworths across the street from the studio.

Additional information

Please note the following:

  • Please don’t wear your best clothing! Clay will wash out, but it’s better to wear some older clothes
  • If you have long hair, please tie it back
  • Wear closed-in shoes
  • Nails need to be trimmed
  • You will need to return a week after the last class to collect your pieces. You will be able to discuss this with your teacher
