Learn to draw florals and foliage with our drawing short courses in Sydney!

Capture the beauty of nature and learn the elegant art of drawing realistic flowers and plants in this Botanical Art Drawing workshop. 

No matter what your drawing experience is, this drawing class will help you step-by-step to gain the confidence and skills to draw flowers, vegetables, fruits, and other plants.  

Capture the colour, precision and detail of fruits, flowers, and foliage to realistically represent their natural beauty. Learn tonal drawing skills by mastering the expressive line and manipulation of shade. 

With the drawing techniques learnt in class, you will bring your botanical drawings to life. 

Whether you're an avid appreciator of botanical art, or if you just want to learn to draw your favourite flowers, this is the course for you!

Course materials

What to bring to class

  • HB, 2B and 4B
  • charcoal pencils - 1 white and 1 black
  • A kneadable eraser (Faber-Castell is recommended)
  • A regular white eraser
  • Ruler
  • A3 cartridge paper
  • Any images from which you wish to work

Additional information

Please note the following:

  • Closed-in shoes required
  • Please wear old clothes
  • Long hair should be tied back
