Pottery & Ceramics: Teapot & Teacups Advanced Throwing Workshop

PCTC_1

Design and create a one of a kind teapot & teacup set in our pottery short courses in Sydney.

This advanced workshop is designed for experienced potters who can confidently throw even and symmetrical cylinders. Over two hands-on sessions, you will refine your throwing skills while creating a teapot and two matching teacups. The first session focuses on throwing each component of the teapot, including the body, spout, lid, and handle, as well as the two teacups to complete the set. You will have time to practise shaping and refining your forms, ensuring consistency in size and proportion.

In the second session, you will learn how to trim and assemble the teapot, paying attention to fit, balance, and function. Proper attachment techniques will be covered to ensure a strong and well-crafted final piece. Once completed, your teapot and cups will be bisque fired and prepared for glazing. The glazing session is not included in this booking and must be scheduled separately as a returning student.
