Whether you dream of strolling through the streets of Paris, connecting with French-speaking friends, or simply learning a new language for personal interest, you’ll start using French from your very first classes. You’ll learn how to introduce yourself, ask simple questions, and understand everyday spoken French, while steadily building your vocabulary, pronunciation and confidence.

Classes are interactive and encouraging, with plenty of guided practice in a supportive environment. You’ll gain a strong foundation in the language and the confidence to continue your French learning journey.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this Beginner French course, participants will have developed practical skills and knowledge in areas such as:

  • Introducing yourself and others using basic French structures
  • Using the French alphabet to spell names and simple words
  • Understanding when to use formal and informal language (tu and vous)
  • Greeting people appropriately in everyday situations
  • Asking and answering simple questions
  • Giving and requesting basic personal information
  • Counting from 0 to 100 and using numbers in context

  • Definite and indefinite articles
  • Possessive adjectives
  • Descriptive language (adjectives)
  • Key verbs such as s’appeler, être and avoir (affirmative and negative forms)
  • Gender (masculine and feminine) and number (singular and plural)
