Drum Lessons for Beginners: Level 2

Learn to take your drumming to the next level with our music and singing courses in Sydney!

So you've gained a solid foundation for playing the drums, now let's establish a better understanding of the instruments and learn how to play in a variety of styles and musical situations. This aims to help you improve your rhythm and drumming ability beyond that of the level 1 course. You will take home skills that will aid with your sense of musical and rhythmic expression.

This level 2 course will give you a framework to build intermediate-level skills as you deepen your skills in coordination as well as different playing techniques.

Lessons will be tailored to suit individual interests and needs.

Who are these drum lessons for?

This course is designed for students with some experience in playing the drum or who have attended our Drum Lessons for Beginners.

• Some general coordination
• Rudiments and their application on the drum kit
• Rock beats – breaks – coordination
• Jazz beats – breaks – coordination
• Latin rhythms
• Reading rhythm material, drum charts
• Syncopation studies
• Technique studies
• Work on orchestration and getting around the instrument
