Fondant Cake Decorating Course

Learn how to cover a cake with smooth fondant with our cake baking & decorating courses in Sydney!
In this Fondant Cake Decorating Course, you will unlock some of the secrets behind fondant and ganache, and learn how to get a smooth finish on your cake, ready for decorating. You will also discover some creative tips and skills for achieving a professional finish using low-cost tools and equipment found in most kitchens. Once you have learned how to apply rolled fondant, you will get creative by sculpting some flower and leaf decorations to add to your cake.
All ingredients, “naked” cakes, tools and a take-home cake box are included in the course fee.

Course content
What will be covered in this fondant cake decorating course?
- Introduction to rolled fondant and chocolate ganache
- How to colour your own fondant
- Prepare, sandwich and mask a 7-inch chocolate mud cake with ganache (cake supplied)
- Apply rolled fondant, smooth and polish
- How to create simple fondant flower and leaf decorations
- Finishing and presentation

What to bring to class
- An apron
- Closed-in shoes to wear
- If you have long hair, tie it back
- You may prefer to bring packed lunch, snacks and water, as choices are limited nearby
