Course description
Learn the mindful art of Crochet with our handcraft short courses in Sydney!
Crochet is one of the oldest crafts in the world, now having a huge resurgence in popularity because it's easy to learn, fun to do, and relaxing - all in one!
Recent research shows that repetitive crafts such as Crochet have multiple health and wellbeing benefits. Crochet has been labelled the new 'mental yoga' due to its rhythmic motion which lulls the crocheter into a meditative state. The act of crocheting has even been known to help combat stress and anxiety, as well as improve focus.
Under the guidance of your experienced tutor, you will learn the basics of crochet such as how to hold the hook and yarn, create a chain, and crochet basic stitches. These techniques will be the building blocks for future projects - and the possibilities are endless! By the end of the course, you'll be able to create beautiful items to be treasured, or given as thoughtful gifts to a loved one.
Allow yourself to take time out of your busy life and simply slow down. Whether you're a complete novice or have some basic crochet skills, this class is designed to introduce you to the wonderful world of crochet - stitch by stitch!
