There's something deeply satisfying about creating your own beautifully scented candles by hand. In this relaxing and creative workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of candle making while crafting a collection of handmade candles to enjoy at home or give as thoughtful gifts.
Guided by an experienced candle maker, you'll explore different waxes, fragrances, wicks and colour combinations as you learn the techniques behind successful candle making. From preparing your materials through to pouring, finishing and caring for your candles, you'll gain practical skills and confidence to continue creating at home.
You'll leave with a collection of handcrafted creations, including two container candles, a soy wax melt and a beeswax candle (or an additional soy candle if you prefer a vegan option). Whether you're looking for a relaxing creative experience, a new hobby, or simply love filling your home with beautiful fragrances, this workshop offers an enjoyable introduction to the craft of candle making.

Course content
What will be covered in this Candle Making Workshop?
During the workshop, participants will be guided through key concepts, techniques and approaches that typically include:
- Understanding different candle waxes and their characteristics
- Selecting suitable wicks, fragrances and colour pigments
- Preparing and pouring container candles
- Creating soy wax melts
- Making a rolled beeswax candle (or soy wax alternative)
- Candle safety, curing and care

Course materials
All materials are included in the course fee, including:
- Glass candle jars
- Candle moulds
- Cotton wicks
- Wick holders & stickers
- Stirring sticks
- Measuring cups
- Beeswax sheet (or vegan alternative)
- Fragrance oils & colour pigments to create your unique candles
- Handouts to guide your future candle making at home
What to bring to class
- Pen and notepad
- A bag to carry your creations
- An apron (if possible) to protect your clothes
- Dress comfortably and wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wax on

Vegan Option: If preferred, the beeswax candle can be substituted with another soy wax candle.
