The course starts with a review of basic skills, then progresses through technical demonstrations covering fundamental techniques like stone setting, roller printing, marking, and riveting. Emphasis is placed on design principles, highlighting the significance of creativity and intentionality in jewelry making. As the workshop progresses, students receive hands-on guidance in additional techniques such as link making and metal inlay, enhancing their skill set and refining their craft. Throughout, participants are encouraged to apply these skills to their own designs, fostering both technical proficiency and artistic expression.
This course provides the opportunity for students to work on a project of their choice under the close guidance of an experienced tutor.

Intended audience
Who is this silver jewellery course for?
This course is for experienced students who have completed Silver Jewellery Making Course: Beginners 101 or equivalent.
Please note that is course is not suitable for students under the age of 18yrs.

Class materials
- Base metal and tools are provided
- A small variety of sterling silver sheets can be purchased in the front office
What to bring to class
- Pens and pencils
- Sketch book/paper
- Fine point permanent marker
- Your own gemstone or choose from our range
- Samples of any previous work so that the tutor can assess your skill level
Additional information
Please note the following:
- Closed-in shoes required
- Please wear old clothes
- Long hair must be tied back
Lunch
For Classes running all day, a 30-minute lunch break will take place halfway through the class. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch, alternatively, there are cafes and takeaway restaurants nearby.
