Urs is a seasoned international commercial leader with a strong commitment to helping working professionals build confident, practical marketing skills. He spent nearly twelve years at Procter & Gamble, holding marketing and business development roles across South Africa, the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland, leading Ariel's European brand development and launching Charmin, Tempo, Bounty and Pringles. He then held senior leadership and CEO positions at Hero, Eden Springs and Délifrance, managing turnovers of up to $800 million across 16 markets. In a second career, he turned entrepreneur, inventing, launching and selling his own beauty nutritional supplement brand and advising companies through turnarounds.
Today, Urs shares his extensive marketing and business knowledge through board positions, purpose-led ventures, and mentoring bachelor's and master's students at his alma mater, small businesses, start-ups and community colleges. As co-founder of a travel venture linking Geneva and Cape Town, and a board director in sustainable water and consumer-brand enterprises, he champions companies where commercial discipline and social impact go hand in hand. Fluent in German, French and English, Urs brings warmth, real-world stories and three decades of hands-on experience to workshops — making marketing approachable, memorable and useful.
