Nari is a knife specialist and a former aerospace engineer with a lifelong love of flying. He sees a striking parallel between aerofoils and blades—both shaped by physics, precision, and purpose—and is captivated by the quiet elegance of science in sharpening.

He is a member of the Japan Kitchen Knife Sharpening Association, where he continues to deepen his professional expertise. Today, Nari is committed to helping others navigate the many pitfalls and myths in the sharpening world. He sees it as his mission to empower cooks and craftspeople with sharp, functional tools—and the understanding to maintain them.
