Christine is a former animal conservation advocate. She got started in her craft after moving to Sydney’s Inner West. Christine began working at The Bower and got involved in the reuse and restoration workshops, which honed her skills and ignited her love for “picking".

She travels and collects furniture and oddities, saving them from landfill, and then using her up-cycling skills to restore these pieces.  

Christine is a proud curbside collector but she also visits second-hand stores and tips to find hidden treasures. She is committed to sharing her knowledge of sustainability and continues to inspire her community to save goods from landfill through restoration.

In describing her work Christine says “I’m committed to it. I’ve really come alive since doing this".
