Rose-Marie Hillier is a magazine journalist and editor with over 50 years’ experience in decorating, design, architecture, and renovation. She is a former Editor of Australian House & Garden magazine and has worked across both book and magazine publishing in Sydney and London.

As a design journalist and commentator, she has reported on trends in Australia and overseas, presented decorating seminars to a wide range of audiences, and published three memoirs—one reflecting on a life immersed in design. Her passion for colour continues to shape her work.

Rose-Marie has been teaching interior design courses at Sydney Community College since 2013. Her eclectic style blends the refined with the quirky, and she’s known for constantly refreshing her home—something her husband and adult son are still adjusting to.
