Sally has amassed more than 20 years of experience in adult art education. She has a Master of Arts (Painting) from the Royal College of Art in London, receiving a distinction for her thesis. Between 1997 and 2002, she delivered courses in painting, drawing and collage at The Mary Ward Centre in London. It was a great foundation for her current role at SCC, where she has tutored since 2008. 

Sally has enjoyed numerous public and private commissions from across the United Kingdom and the United States and has exhibited her artwork in Britain and Australia. A good number of her students have gone on to full or part-time art education, and/or become successful exhibiting artists.

Sally encourages students to interpret given projects in an individual way. Her teaching style is informed but non-prescriptive and is underpinned by critical thinking objectives. She places a strong emphasis on practical experience as well as knowledge acquisition.
