Who is this intermediate copperplate script calligraphy course for?
This intermediate copperplate hand calligraphy course is designed for intermediate students who have some experience working with a pointed nib and an understanding of the Copperplate Script.
Course venue
2A Gordon Street, Rozelle NSW 2039 (corner of Gordon St & Victoria Rd on the grounds of St. Joseph's Church)
If driving, there is no entry into Gordon Street from Victoria Road. The last block on your right before Victoria Road. Pedestrian access is opposite Prince Street.
What to bring to class
Please remember to bring your materials from the copperplate hand calligraphy kit if you completed the Copperplate Hand Calligraphy Course. If you don't have a kit, you also have the option to purchase one at the checkout.
Also, bring along the following 3 items :
- a ruler
- a water jar
- a pencil
If you wish to bring your own materials, please bring the following:
- A4 or A3 layout pad (Canson)
- Copperplate or pointed pen nib (Zebra G nib recommended)
- pen holder (either a straight pen holder or an oblique holder specifically for Copperplate)
- ink (Black Sumi ink or Chinese stick ink)
- coloured inks, gouache, coloured pencils
- ruler, pencil HB
- water jar, rag
- other supplies will be advised if needed throughout the course
Additional information
- Closed-in shoes required
- Please wear old clothes
- Long hair must be tied back
